I’m Max, an IT infrastructure engineer, sysadmin, and bird nerd from Munich, Germany. I use open-source tools to create useful things for friends and family, myself, and work. Nowadays I mainly work with Kubernetes, using IaC and automation tools such as Terraform and Ansible. I also write open-source tools in Rust and Python (see my projects page) and enjoy self-hosting stuff with my own infrastructure (including this very website).

In spring of 2025, I graduated with a Masters Degree in Computer Science from Munich’s University of Applied Sciences. Before that, I completed a 2-year apprenticeship as a System Administrator and have been self-teaching myself IT skills for over a decade. I’ve been working in the field since 2019 and am currently looking for new challenges to solve.
